Our bespoke build glasshouses are individually handcrafted and made to your exact specification.
Whatever size of project, from the very extravagant to the small, or even tiny!
We have the skills and craftsmanship to realise your dream greenhouse.
Our traditional gable ended, Victorian stand alone designs are: The Duchy and The Duchess. The difference between the two is the width of the glass panelling.
The Duchy glass panelling is 22 inches (56cm) for a more contemporary twist and the Duchess glass panelling is spaced closer at 12-16 inches (30-40cm).
Trends come and go, great style endures – a point proven by the fact that many of our most enduring designs have been popular for decades.
The graceful and romantic style of The Duchy and The Duchess designs are found in the finer details:
- 40º roof pitch
- Decorative wooden end finials
- Rainwater gutters and downpipes
- Aluminium roof cresting and roof capping
- Locking hinged door
- Architectural stainless steel door and window fittings
- Casement windows
- Automatic roof vents
- 4mm English toughened safety glass - British Standard 6206 Class A
- Shiplap wood panelling to staging height

Bespoke customisations available include:
Dwarf Walls
Some customers prefer to set their glasshouse on top of a brick dwarf wall. For smaller structures a single-skin brick base is adequate, whereas larger builds may require double brick for stability. Our construction specifications will tell you what’s best for your chosen design. We recommend building your dwarf wall to our guidelines first, then supplying us the final measurements so we can make your glasshouse to fit.
Porches
A porch allows allows access to the your glasshouse from the side and is a typical feature of the traditional Victorian style. A porch enhances the exterior of your glasshouse creating a focal point in your garden.
We can customise the size and placement of your porch - protruding or flat. The choice is yours.
Door Style & Placement
Door placement is usually at one end of your glasshouse. Unless you have a porch which means your glasshouse would typically be accessed from the side. Should you wish to have additional doors (eg. one at each end) that’s also possible. We also have the option to upgrade to a stable door, or double doors if the width of your glasshouse allows.
Windows
You can select to add additional windows, louvres and roof vents to your bespoke design. We also have the option of a custom designed manual casement window system allows complete control over growing conditions within your greenhouse space. The linked lever system opens all side casement windows simultaneously, saving time and increasing growing space.
Accessories
Coldframes, water butts, seed trays, shade blinds and additional staging are also available to order with your bespoke design.
